Neighbors Team Up On Phone Books

April 9th, 2008 by Jason Hibbets

I sent an email out to the Lineberry Alliance email list announcing a very exciting volunteer initiative that several of our neighbors our helping with.  We have neighbors in both the Trailwood Springs and Pleasant Ridge & Ramsgate who have volunteered to collect phone books at their homes and deliver them to recycling centers at the end of April 2008.

As you may or may not know,  Wake County sponsors telephone book recycling, but the City of Raleigh does not offer curbside pick-up for phone books. Please take advantage of this opportunity and thank your neighbors who our volunteering for this.  This is an easy way to recycle and a great way to save gas on a trip to the recycle center.

If you live in another neighborhood, perhaps you could implement a similar idea?
