Members of the District D Neighborhood Alliance are excited about Planning Raleigh 2030. The city held a Raleigh 2030 Comprehensive Plan Rollout & Open House last night on December 3rd, 2008.
There is a lot of material to be reviewed and it’s important that each of us participate and contribute feedback. The 2030 Comprehensive Plan Public Review Draft is now available. This plan will be Raleigh’s blueprint for the future. It will be the guide for future growth and development. And the cool part? You get to have a voice in it, but only if you participate.
Are you ready to provide feedback on Raleigh’s Comprehensive Plan for 2030? District D is organizing five citizen focus groups to review the plan to provide feedback and recommendations. But don’t worry, if you want to join you’re not signing up for a long-term commitment – feedback is due by January 31, 2009. The specific focus groups forming are:
- Arts and Culture
- Environmental Protection
- Parks and Greenways
- Transportation Systems
- Urban Form and Land Use
If you are interested in participating in one of the focus groups, please contact Jason Hibbets with your name, email, and focus group of interest.
