Trailwood Springs HOA Board: May Update

May 21st, 2010 by csmith

The Trailwood Springs Board met on May 10, 2010 at our new property manager’s office – Elite Management.  Their  office is located at 1401 Suite 116 Sunday Drive Raleigh, NC 27607.   We finalized information concerning parking restrictions, upcoming landscaping projects and topics on how to continue to increase the quality of life in our neighborhood.   We also wanted to announce our new website created by one of our neighbors, Steven Goode – trailwoodsprings.org.  Trailwood Springs residents received a newsletter in the mail this week with much of the info listed below.

Landscaping Project Meeting Spot

There was a lengthy discussion regarding the new parking pass distribution. Towing will now only take place between the hours of 12am and 6am.  The Board decided to distribute new parking passes to our neighbors on both Thursday June 17 at the intersection of Isabella and Leadenhall common area and Tuesday June 22 at the end of Paul’s Penny Lane where it intersects with Long and Winding Road from 6pm-8pm.  You will need a photo ID and all of your old passes to claim your new set of passes.

You are also welcome to pick up your passes at Elite Management’s office.  If you are an out of town owner, then you can designate a representative to pick up your passes.  A signed request must be submitted to Katie Dominello (katiedominello@elite-mgmt.com) at Elite Management by June 11. Forms can be found on Elite’s or Trailwood Spring’s websites. All passes not picked up at the exchanges will be forwarded to you by certified mail. Once all passes are distributed, the old passes will be void and if used will result in your vehicle being towed.

Representatives will be present at both pass exchanges to collect contact info for a continued effort in better communication for our neighbors.  Light refreshments will be provided at the Pass Exchanges as well.  It will be a great time to come out and meet your neighbors and enjoy a nice treat.

Discussion also involved the new Landscaping initiative in our neighborhood.  The first date has been set Saturday morning, May 22, to revamp the three entrances for our neighborhood.  We are looking at distributing colored mulch and maybe planting a few flowers to dress them up a bit.

If anyone would like to help, we will meet at the Paul’s Penny entrance at 9:00 am May 22.  Please email trailwoodspringsboard@www.elite-mgmt.com if interested.  Lunch will be provided for all volunteers who sign up to help. There will be another landscaping day in which there is discussion about applying mulch to the fence line around the bushes on Lineberry.  The date has yet to be decided but input from our residents is welcome.

The board is still trying to decide on the best date to begin the paving project in the Long and Winding Road area due to potential spikes in gas prices.  More info will be passed along once decided.

With the new parking pass distribution, the board stressed the importance of reinforcing the general responsibilities of our neighbors.  It was suggested that we send a letter or some sort of document in new homeowner packages that would assist homeowners and tenants in obtaining useful information regarding our neighborhood, City ordinances and codes, and other information.  It was also noted that Jason Hibbets from the Lineberry Alliance wrote a nice informational piece last fall for incoming college students to our neighborhood.
