Win Big By Donating to NeighborWoods

July 22nd, 2010 by Jason Hibbets

The NeighborWoods Street Tree Program has been plugging away since 2003 and this year we’re celebrating the delivery of our 10,000th tree!  You can have the honor of making THE donation that purchases the 10,000th tree.  Any citizen who makes a donation of $25 or more between now and October 1st will be entered into a drawing.  One lucky winner will be eligible to participate in the tree planting with Mayor Meeker at Nash Square, dedicate a plaque with their name, receive an REI gift card and bike tune- up, enjoy a Whole Foods gift card, and win a gift certificate to the Busy Bee Cafe!

To enter to win please send your donation of $25 or more to

Raleigh NeighborWoods
4225 Daly Rd.
Raleigh, NC 27604

The winner will be notified by phone on October 1st.

Trees benefit our city in numerous ways… better air and water quality, reduced energy costs, beautification, and urban wildlife habitat. The City of Raleigh replenishes our urban forest by delivering at least 1500 FREE TREES to citizens every year. NeighborWoods is a cooperative effort where the city provides expertise and delivers the trees, then the public plants and cares for the tree.  The best part… every single tree is purchased with donated funds.
