Announcing a Prize Contest for Community Innovations (by NUSA)

NUSA (Neighborhoods USA) is very pleased to let members know about an inaugural global prize contest for community innovations. This contest is sponsored by the Community Tool Box (http://ctb.ku.edu), which is partnering with NUSA to distribute information about this contest to NUSA members and friends.

The prize offered by the Community Tool Box, called the 2010 “Out of the Box” prize, will recognize and honor the most promising initiatives that strengthen community development and community health. (more…)

Raleigh’s Environmental Award Program

A message about the upcoming 2010 environmental awards offered by the city of Raleigh:

“In an effort to recognize outstanding work in sustainable development and environmental stewardship, the City of Raleigh has created the Raleigh Environmental Awards.

The program will award individuals or organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to the environment. There are two types of awards.”
