Landlord Training Slotted for May 12

CITY OF RALEIGH TO OFFER LANDLORD TRAINING PROGRAM ON MAY 12

The City of Raleigh’s next landlord training class will be held on May 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Housing Authority’s multipurpose community room, 971 Harp St. The one-day course offers useful information to rental property owners and managers, real estate agents, lawyers and others who deal with or have an interest in rental issues.

The North Carolina State Bar and the N.C. Real Estate Commission offer continuing education credits for lawyers and real estate agents who take the class.

The landlord training course covers such topics as screening rental applicants, strengthening rental agreements and taking legal steps to resolve problems. (more…)

DDNA Meeting Notes January 2010

Over 30 citizens from around District D joined on January 16, 2010 for the first meeting in 2010 of the District D Neighborhood Alliance (DDNA). On the agenda, the UDO (Unified Development Ordinance) with special guests Mitchell Silver and Christine Darges.
