Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital is hosting a family day/client appreciation day on December 20, 2010 from 9am – 5pm. Bring the pets and your family. There will be a local pet transport company represented, teamworks dog training, and a number of other fun activities. The fire department and police department have been invited to attend.
Critter Coach will be at family day/client appreciation day from 2-5pm.

Landlords, real estate agents, and property managers in the Lineberry area should take advantage of this training to educate themselves on how the PROP can impact their ability to rent their property and how to help draft an effective lease to attract good renters and enforce the quality of life issues that often deteriorate our neighborhoods.
CITY OF RALEIGH TO OFFER LANDLORD TRAINING PROGRAM ON OCT. 20
Registration is open to enroll in the City of Raleigh’s Landlord Training Program, a one-day course for rental property owners and managers, real estate agents, lawyers and others who deal with rental issues. The last training program for 2010 is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Housing Authority’s multi-purpose community room, located at 971 Harp St.

Raleigh is going green. And it’s not just the Oak tress and parks around the city. Earlier this year, the city announced green certification programs. Programs are beginning this month. Find out more below including information about a Green Building Training and Green Plumbing programs with links to more details.
The Green Building Training program will empower small businesses with the tools and skills to market themselves in the emerging green economy. The Green Building Training program will also ensure that Raleigh has a skilled workforce trained in cutting edge technologies, enabling the city and its residents to build greener and healthier. A few weeks ago, we told you about the New American House project, a great opportunity to have green, sustainable community right here in the Lineberry area. The City of Raleigh recently announced it now offers a green building certification program to construction professionals. See the details below for more information.
CITY OF RALEIGH ANNOUNCES GREEN BUILDING TRAINING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The City of Raleigh Office of Sustainability has developed a Green Building Training Certification and Community Education Program. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, commonly referred to as the stimulus package.
